There are still nice people in the world.
Last Saturday I foolishly backed up my car without paying much attention and put some scratches on my rear bumper. Not any real damage but it was unsightly. Thought it would be a replacing the bumper kind of thing so saw a $600 repair in my future. My wife told me she had seen a nice review of an auto repair shop on NextDoor.com, which is a website for locals. I went by there and the guy looked at the damage, brought out a cloth with some paint thinner on it and pretty much wiped away all the scratches. He then got some white paint and used a nail polish brush to cover a couple of deeper scratches. When I got out my wallet to pay him, he said "No charge. I didn't really do anything." I kept insisting and he kept refusing saying, "We are all neighbors here and we take care of each other. Only payment I want is that you spread the word if anybody needs car work done." I was blown away at how nice and neighborly he was. You don't see much of that these days. So hats off to Pouncey Tract Auto Body repair.
